MOC Call to Service

Dear SSH Members,

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the Society who have expressed interest in conference planning oversight to apply for the one open position on the Meetings Oversight Commission (MOC). The MOC is comprised of members who represent a spectrum of expertise and experience in healthcare simulation, including meeting management.

The SSH bylaws specify the role of the MOC committee:

“The Meeting Oversight Commission shall be responsible for assuring the longitudinal quality, integrity and financial success of the Society sponsored meetings through the synergistic development of strategies, analyses, efficiencies, quality control, and cross promotional activities. The Meeting Oversight Commission shall be responsible for overseeing the work of the IMSH Planning Committee and any other Society’s “Meeting” Planning Committees, so that all requisite policies, procedures, processes, quality standards, and legal and financial requirements are met and maintained.”

After the amended bylaws are approved there will be 4 open positions on the commission. If you are interested in becoming a member of the MOC, I request that you include a brief, focused CV (<300 words with your online submission) to convey your interest in serving as a member of the commission.  The term of service will be staggered and are one (1) to three (3) years. Members of the MOC should plan to attend monthly teleconferences.
