Call for Application

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare Accreditation Committee is pleased to announce its first Call for Applications for accreditation of simulation programs in healthcare. Consistent with its mission -to lead in facilitating excellence in interprofessional healthcare education, practice, advocacy, and research through simulation modalities- the accreditation process seeks to recognize and foster excellence in simulation in healthcare.

During this first review cycle we plan to review a limited number of programs in order to validate and refine our accreditation processes. Established Simulation Programs are invited to apply for review during the first cycle. Programs deemed as meeting standards will be accredited for the full accreditation period of 3 years.

Benefits of SSH Accreditation:

• Provides external validation of individual simulation programs
• Improves healthcare education through the identification, standardization, and sharing of best practices and recognition of practice
• Encourages performance improvement within the simulation program

We are providing this Informational Guide to answer some of your questions.
