Dr. Joe Lopreiato joins the SSH Board of Directors > The Society for Simulation in Healthcare

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH), today announced that S. Barry Issenberg, MD, has resigned for personal reasons from his position as a Director At Large, effective August 10, 2014. He has served on the Board of Directors since January 2013. “Dr. Issenberg has been an important member of the SSH Board,” said Pam Jeffries, President SSH Board of Directors. “We will miss his participation on the Board and wish him well in his future endeavors.” 

SSH has appointed Joseph O. Lopreiato MD, MPH to complete Dr. Issenberg’s term on the Board of Directors. His term will expire 12/31/2015. Dr. Lopreiato is currently the Associate Dean for Simulation Education and Professor of Pediatrics at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD.  He is also the medical director of the Val G. Hemming Simulation Center. “Dr. Lopreiato’s experience will be an asset to our Board. I am looking forward to working with him”, said Pam Jeffries.
