I never cease to be amazed at the support of the Society from our members and the simulation global community. Since the start of the pandemic, the outpouring of resources and support has been nonstop. We have been grateful to be able to serve as a hub for all of this activity and resource sharing.
As a thank you to the Sim community, SSH has offered its SimSational Sales event since November 3. We have had hundreds and hundreds of responses every single week.
As part of the event, we have a great offer on membership for one, two, and three years. This sale opened at the same time registration opened for our IMSH Delivers conference, which launched virtually last week. Everyone in the global simulation community is eligible for this membership discount, so please share it with your friends and colleagues. If they have been thinking about becoming a member of SSH, now is the time!
Interest Group Meetings Update
Since December, SSH Membership Coordinator Ashley Grossman and I have been super busy meeting with the Chairs and Vice Chairs of all 28 interest groups and attending the Interest Group meetings that are being held this month.
(The interest groups are one of the quickest ways to get involved with SSH, so we encourage you to join one. And, BONUS: You do not have to be an SSH member to join an affinity group and start networking with your simulation family around the world.)
Joining an affinity group will allow you to access some portions of our online connected community, SimConnect. If you would like to join an Interest Group or learn more about getting engaged with SSH and our members, please just reach out to us in the SSH Membership Department. We are happy to get you started.
We also have a mentor/mentee module in SimConnect. This is a user-friendly way to either serve as a mentor or mentee, or both. Please pop into Simconnect and take a look.
The SSH Membership Department also runs the registration platform for all SSH meetings. This process is managed by Becca Fletcher, SSH Customer Service Representative. She is always ready to answer questions about registration and membership and get you to the right person for anything SSH! She can be reached at SSH Customer Service.
