I hope this message finds you doing well. As we enter July, a month filled with warmth and energy, I am so pleased to share information about SSH programs and a few of these exciting upcoming events. Our community continues to thrive, thanks to your dedication and passion for healthcare simulation.

It’s hard to believe that Healthcare Simulation Week 2024 is just around the corner. Taking place September 16-20, this year's theme, "Launchpad to Legacy: What's Your Next?" focuses on sharing your goals and collaborating with others to advance the field. Whether you're an individual aiming for certification, an organization seeking program accreditation, new to the healthcare simulation field and ready to grow, or eager to mentor the next generation of professionals, Healthcare Simulation Week provides a platform to showcase your ambitions and learn from others.

As always, Healthcare Simulation Week is YOUR celebration! Please share your events on our calendar and ensure your organization is featured on our map as part of your #hcsimweek24 plans! With two months approaching swiftly, start planning now to seize this exciting opportunity to spotlight yourself, your organization, SSH, and the field! Keep an eye out for the Healthcare Simulation Week 2024 Toolkit, which will be available by the end of July.

IMSH 2025 - 25 Years of IMSH!

We are also just 6 months away from IMSH 2025. Have you made your plans yet? Please look out for the event’s Justification Toolkit, which will be available later this month to help you with advanced planning ahead of registration opening in September so you can attend the historic 25^th Anniversary IMSH!

It’s not too late to join us at SSH's SimOps 2024 taking place next week, July 17-19. We invite you to join our simulation operations community for an exciting program hosted by Children’s Hospital Colorado. This year’s theme, SOAR: "Simulation Operations: Achieve. Redefine.," promises a dynamic opportunity to excel in the present while reshaping the landscape of simulation operations.

Finally, I want to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported the SSH Fund in 2023. I also acknowledge the dedicated efforts of the Development Committee, the Finance and Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors for their collaborative work. 

Thanks to their leadership and the generosity of our members, SSH is proud to announce the distribution of $70,000 to the following outstanding programs:

• $50,000 to support Research Grants for Early Career and Experienced Researchers

• $5,000 to support SIMventors Awards

• $10,000 to support additional Beverlee Anderson Scholarships

• $5,000 to support the Chad Epps Endowment

Additionally, over $65,000 will be directed towards the development of a long-term endowment fund, ensuring sustained support for research grants, scholarships, and similar initiatives in the future.

SSH remains committed in using your contributions effectively each year. Your gifts to the SSH Fund in 2024 will continue to advance these crucial initiatives. Please consider supporting the 2024 SSH Fund and join us in further elevating the field of healthcare simulation.
