One of the primary goals of the SSH Fund is expanding access to the field of healthcare simulation.
Currently, we are doing that by working to increase the number of Beverlee Anderson Scholarships available for those who otherwise would not be able to attend IMSH. This year, thanks to generous donations to the SSH Fund, the Internal Relations Committee (IRC) was able to offer four scholarships instead of the two scholarships traditionally awarded!
If you haven’t seen the news yet, congratulations to all FOUR of this year’s Beverlee Anderson Education Fund Scholarship winners. We look forward to seeing all four of them at IMSH in Orlando this January!
• Mustfa Manzur
• Aleksandrs Oborins
• Laura Schumpert
• Helen Welsh
Beverlee Anderson Scholarship winners receive the following:
• Full registration for IMSH 2025
• IMSH 2025 travel stipend: $2,000 (U.S. recipients) and $3,000 (recipients outside of the U.S.)
• Registration for one IMSH 2025 pre-conference immersive
• One year of SSH full membership
Now, you may be thinking, “That’s fantastic, but I’m not a donor yet. How can I get involved?” You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers!

Giving Tuesday: December 3
By now, I think you’ve probably heard of Giving Tuesday, but you may not have heard of our $25 for 25 Campaign to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of IMSH…make a “two-fer” and mark your calendar now to make a gift of $25, $250 or even $2,500 to the SSH Fund on Giving Tuesday!
On Saturday afternoon at IMSH this year, we’ll be hosting our first-ever Cornhole Tournament in the Exhibition Hall, prior to the start of the Exhibit Hall Happy Hour. All proceeds from the Tournament will benefit the SSH Fund – it’s a great way to have fun, connect with old friends and make new ones, all while supporting the SSH Fund.
Coffee Table Book
We’re currently developing a coffee table book to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of IMSH and the 20th Anniversary of SSH itself. All net profit from the sale of the book will be used to support the SSH Fund – order yours today!
If you have any questions about the SSH Fund or how you can support philanthropy at SSH, please contact me at jhale@ssih.org and I’ll be happy to assist you!
