SSH Call for Service

Accreditation 

Thank you for your contributions to councils, committees, working groups, and task forces during the previous years. We know your time is valuable and consider your service to the Society a tremendous honor. 
We would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the Society who have expressed interest in serving to apply for membership on the following:

• Accreditation Council

Per the SSH bylaws, “The Accreditation Council shall be responsible for developing, delivering, and assuring the integrity of the Society’s accreditation program. This includes verifying that all requisite compliance, regulatory and quality standards are met and maintained.”

Certification

  • CHSE Subcommittee of the Certification Council
  • CHSOS Subcommittee of the Certification Council
  • CHSE-A Subcommittee of the Certification Council
  • Communications Subcommittee of the Certification Council
  • Quality Subcommittee of the Certification Council

 Finance & Audit (F&A) Committee

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all members of the Society who have expressed interest in financial planning and oversight to apply for the one open position on the Finance & Audit (F&A) Committee. The F&A Committee is comprised of members who represent a spectrum of expertise and experience in healthcare simulation, including financial management.

The SSH bylaws specify the role of the F&A committee:

“The Finance and Audit Committee shall be responsible for developing the annual Society budget, and reviewing and authorizing internal and external financial audits as required by applicable laws or as otherwise deemed necessary to effectively provide oversight for the Society’s financial status and integrity. The Finance and Audit Committee shall provide financial reports, recommendations, and guidance to the Board of Directors.”

If you are interested in becoming a member of the F&A Committee, I request that you include a brief, focused CV (<300 words with your online submission) to convey your interest in serving as a committee member.  The term of service is three (3) years. Members of the F&A committee should plan to attend three (2) face-to-face meetings per year in April and October. In addition, there will be three (3) or four (4) telephone meetings per year.
