Associate Editor Needed

Simulation in Healthcare (SiH) is seeking nominations for individuals wishing to serve as Associate Editors for the Journal. Specifically we are looking for a candidate with a PhD or equivalent, a strong track record of peer-review publication in indexed journals, (desired) experience as a reviewer for SiH and other journals, and (desired) experience on the Editorial Board of SiH or another journal.

 Associate Editors are assigned 30-40 manuscripts a year in their area of expertise. They invite reviewers to review these manuscripts and submit decisions based off of the reviews received, as well as their own reading of the manuscript, through rounds of revision until a final decision is reached. Associate Editors are expected to take part in numerous Editor conference calls and meetings as well as attend the annual SiH Editorial Board meeting during IMSH. Associate Editor also receive an annual stipend.

 Individuals may nominate themselves by sending a copy of their Curriculum Vitae, and a statement of interest in serving as an SiH Associate Editor in ONE email to Karl Durst, Managing Editor, at journal@ssih.org. Please include "Associate Editor Nomination" in the subject line.

 Nominations will be reviewed and selections made by the Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors of SiH. Should the new Associate Editor selected not already be a member of the SiH Editorial Board, the appointment would need to be ratified by the SSH Board of Directors.
