SPOTLIGHT ON ASHLEY GROSSMAN

Ashley Grossman has been the Membership Coordinator for SSH since January 2016.  She was first introduced to simulation in 2005 while completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.  She began working as a student employee at the Peter M. Winter Institute for Simulation, Education and Research (WISER) and started her full time career at WISER upon graduation from Pitt.  She helped with research projects and provided administrative support to WISER leadership.

As the SSH Membership Coordinator, Ashley provides staff support for all of the SSH Sections, Special Interest Groups and Affinity Groups.  She helps to organize and facilitate meetings, webinars and other activities for all of the interest groups.  She enjoys the opportunity to work with the interest group leaders on strategies to increase engagement between the members of their groups.  She is also the staff community manager for Sim Connect – the SSH community platform where members can collaborate. She serves as a staff liaison for the SSH Internal Relations Committee.

Ashley resides in the suburbs north of Pittsburgh, Pa.  She and her husband have just started to build their dream home on 10 acres bordering a state park.  Her personal interests include stand-up paddle boarding, reading, shopping and spending time with her nine-month-old daughter, Emily.
