SPOTLIGHT ON KATHRYN PULLINS

Kathryn Pullins joined the SSH team in October 2013, bringing over 20 years of experience in non-profits. This background includes a Chamber of Commerce, an international fraternal organization, a statewide lobbying organization and a public relations firm owned by her and her husband.   She has written grants and managed major fundraising projects. She has also worked as a statewide lobbyist, served as campaign manager for a state senate race, and run local ballot issues all over Ohio.

In her position, Kathryn serves as the primary liaison to the Internal Relations Committee (IRC), which has recently transitioned from the former Membership Committee. This committee is working to increase member engagement, which in turn will increase member retention. The IRC has developed subcommittees for Membership and Sim Connect this year to further member retention efforts and strengthen member engagement through the Sim Connect platform.

Kathryn also manages the registration process for IMSH. This process continues to evolve and change based upon feedback from meeting attendees.

Kathryn has a Master of Science in Marketing and Communications from Franklin University in Columbus, OH.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the Ohio State University, home of TBDBITL.

Kathryn resides in Mount Vernon, Ohio with her 12-year-old daughter Alaina, who is a proud MENSA member. Together they work at the upkeep on their 126-year-old stately brick home, which luckily has been outfitted with all the modern conveniences, such as indoor plumbing. They enjoy swimming, reading, and travelling to see new and interesting things.
