OVERVIEW: Vcom3D’s Immersive Modular Patient Care Team Trainer (IMPACTT) is a realistic, virtual team training system that allows medical teams to treat polytrauma patients as they work to improve their communications skills.
This is a scalable system that can be performed fully virtual or be supplemented with part-task trainers or manikins for hands-on skills training, based on student needs. Following the impact of the pandemic, we added a remote capability that allows team members to participate in virtual scenarios from anywhere in the world. We look forward to providing more information in this month’s SSH Virtual Learning Lab.
