SSH Development Committee

The Development Committee has openings for committee members! This committee, that oversees the SSH Fund, is charged with furthering the healthcare simulation community through donor support. The work of the committee includes cultivating donors, identifying grant opportunities, stewarding existing donors and funds, and celebrating those who benefit from the SSH Fund. Currently, the SSH Fund supports scholarships, innovation, research, and education—you can be part of helping us grow the fund and support these member-chosen initiatives! 

Committee duties include meetings as scheduled (usually monthly), off-cycle work such as on projects, serving as ambassadors for the SSH Fund, and supporting all those who receive awards. If you are interested in being part of this work, please submit your interest statement and CV/Resume using this link. Committee terms will be through the end of IMSH 2029.

Submissions of interest are due no later than April 3, 2026, 5 p.m. ET.

2027 SSH SimOps Education Conference - HOST SITE

Based on the desire to take a balanced approach to building a strong program that considers realistic expectations and value, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) believes that partnerships with local simulation centers create opportunities for focused education targeted at specific audiences. The SSH SimOps Education Conference provides quality educational and training benefits to the target population and geographic region while fostering collaboration with simulation programs nationwide.

About the Conference

The SSH SimOps Conference is dedicated to providing education and training for healthcare simulation professionals engaged in operational technologies and simulation program management. The conference offers a comprehensive range of sessions, from basic to advanced levels, that explore simulation technology integration and operational enhancements.

2027 SSH SimOps Education Conference - Planning Team Co-Chairs

SimOps Planning Team Co-Chairs lead the design of the educational content for SimOps. They are responsible for generating the theme and focus of the event, ensuring that educational content developed for the event aligns with the chosen theme.

Leveraging their networks and domain expertise, Planning Team Co-Chairs provide recommendations for the event theme, keynote speakers, and educational content. They play a critical role in keeping the event engaging and relevant while addressing the educational needs of SSH members.

Technology Committee Member

Term: April 2026 – January 2029 (3 years)

The Technology Committee leadership is requesting interested individuals who would like to serve as a member of the Technology Committee to submit their information for consideration for the open positions. The Technology Committee has a high level of responsibility to bring healthcare simulation and related technology to the membership of SSH and the attendees of IMSH, SimOps, and other activities conducted by IMSH. To achieve this, the Technology Committee works collaboratively with many technology-oriented groups within SSH and actively engages in the investigation of technology and technology-related items in the larger world. Expectations of being a member include (but are not limited to):

  • Active (paid) SSH membership is required. Members with unpaid member fees or expired membership are not eligible to apply.
  • Attendance is required for monthly meetings as well as any additional meetings for various projects
  • Attendance is encouraged at face-to-face meetings when scheduled
  • Attendance is encouraged at the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare
  • Active participation on the projects of the Technology Committee, including engaging in focused areas of personal interest to support development and delivery of the projects.

It is essential that interested individuals have the time to commit to the work and being actively engaged in this committee. There are no restrictions to becoming a member of the Technology Committee (e.g. work sector). The selections shall be made with due diligence to representation of the healthcare simulation community and to support the range of perspectives and healthcare simulation settings that support the success of the Technology Committee.

Interested individuals can apply for membership by completing the application, including a CV/ Biosketch, no later than close of business on March 31, 2026.
