IMSH 2026: UNBOUND
Join us in San Antonio, Texas, January 10 – 14, 2026, for the 26th annual International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare.
The UNBOUND theme is powerful and quantifies the near limitless opportunities that are possible within the global healthcare simulation community. Additionally, the term unbound embodies the education, research, ideas, decision making, technology, and infinite content and submission possibilities for IMSH 2026.
We are seeking impactful submissions that push boundaries and explore the following key areas:
Synergy and Collaboration- Interprofessional Education
There are no secrets in simulation. Simulationists openly share ideas, successful innovations and lessons learned in order to help others “do better” ultimately impacting the safe and effective delivery of healthcare to patients around the world. Fostering interprofessional education will increase opportunities and propel the simulation community for decades to come.
Breaking Down Silos- Innovation & Disruption
The time to work in isolation has passed. Equally innovative content is being created in resource limited areas as well as traditionally well-funded and established institutions around the globe. By fostering a culture of exploration and knowledge-sharing, we can amplify the impact of these innovations exponentially. When ideas flow freely across disciplines, institutions, and borders, we accelerate progress and push the limits of what’s possible in healthcare simulation.
Global Reach and Inclusion- Inclusivity
In recent years, particularly during the pandemic, simulationists were forced to find new and creative ways to deliver content. As a result, we are no longer constrained by borders or oceans. By embracing diverse voices, experiences, and approaches, we can unlock new opportunities, foster meaningful discussions, and create a truly inclusive global healthcare simulation community. Together, we can ensure that every perspective is valued and that the future of simulation reflects the diversity of the world we serve.
Shared Legacy- Best Practices
A shared legacy sets the stage for a collective impact that invites all simulationists to intertwine shared connections together to build on the foundations of pioneers and create a visionary template for patient safety centered best practices that transcend boundaries.
We are excited to hear your ideas and look forward to seeing how our community can evolve healthcare simulation with IMSH 2026 content submissions.
