STATEMENT OF INTEREST
I am honored to express my interest in serving on the Board of Governors for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare Academy of Fellows. Over my career, I have been dedicated to advancing the science, practice, and scholarship of healthcare simulation as a transformative tool for improving provider safety, team performance, and system resilience. This opportunity aligns deeply with my professional vision to strengthen mentorship, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and expand the Academy’s impact.
As an educator, researcher, and leader, I have championed simulation as a cornerstone for both competency-based training and continuous performance improvement. I have contributed to simulation program development, faculty training initiatives, and multi-institutional research focused on assessment, debriefing, and innovation in curriculum design. Beyond the technical aspects, I am passionate about cultivating a culture that values inclusivity, intellectual curiosity, and sustained excellence in simulation practice.
If elected to the Board of Governors, I will work collaboratively to amplify the Academy’s mission—supporting fellows as ambassadors, advocates, mentors, and thought leaders who shape the future of healthcare simulation. I am particularly eager to strengthen the Academy’s outreach, mentorship pathways, and strategic partnerships across disciplines and regions. Together, we can advance our shared commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service, ensuring that simulation continues to elevate the quality and safety of healthcare worldwide.
