STATEMENT OF INTEREST
I am interested in serving on the SSH Academy Board of Governance because I value the Academy’s role in recognizing excellence, advancing scholarship, and strengthening the community of educators, leaders, and innovators who shape healthcare simulation. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to building high-quality, learner-centered simulation programs that are grounded in collaboration, operational excellence, and meaningful outcomes.
My work has spanned simulation operations, educational strategies, faculty and staff development, and program growth, all with a strong focus on creating environments where simulation directly supports learning, system improvements, and ultimately patient safety. I believe these experiences have provided me with both a practical and strategic perspective that would be valuable to the academy’s mission.
I am especially passionate about opportunities that uplift others, foster inclusive pathways for involvement, and enhance the ongoing growth and visibility of the Academy. I bring a collaborative leadership approach, a strong sense of accountability, and a sincere commitment to the future of our field. I also recognize the importance of thoughtful stewardship, transparent communication, and balancing tradition with innovation.
It would be a privilege to contribute to the Academy in this role. I welcome the chance to support its mission, enhance its impact, and work alongside colleagues who are equally dedicated to excellence in healthcare simulation.
