STATEMENT OF INTEREST

I am honored to submit my interest for the position of Vice-Chair of the Academy of Fellows of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (FSSH). As a Fellow since 2021 and a current member of the Board of Governance for the past two years, I bring continuity, institutional knowledge, and a deep commitment to advancing the mission and impact of the Academy. My prior Board experience provides me with a strong understanding of Academy operations, governance processes, and the importance of strategic alignment with the SSH Board of Directors.

My professional career reflects sustained leadership and scholarship in healthcare simulation. I am a PhD- and DNP-prepared nurse practitioner, CHSE-A certified educator, and Fellow of SSH and the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN). My work spans simulation education, operations, faculty development, research, and innovation, with national and international collaborations across academic, clinical, and professional organizations. I have extensive experience leading programs, committees, and strategic initiatives, which has strengthened my ability to facilitate consensus and support organizational decision-making.

As Vice-Chair, I would prioritize strengthening Fellow engagement, enhancing transparency in governance processes, and supporting initiatives that demonstrate the Academy’s value to the broader healthcare simulation community. I am particularly committed to advancing interprofessional collaboration, global outreach, and leadership development pathways for Fellows. My leadership style is collaborative, organized, and mission-focused, with a strong emphasis on communication and follow-through.

It would be a privilege to continue serving the Academy in this leadership role to support the ongoing growth, influence, and excellence of the FSSH.
