With huge excitement, I am pleased to start this update with the announcement of our new SSH Director of Certification, Rachel Araujo!
Rachel comes to us from SMT/Prometric, the test development and delivery company with which we have worked with since 2011. She has been our key point of contact and knows our certifications and exam development process — and has been involved in every stage.
Many of you know her already. For those who do not, she is a great addition to our staff and will take our certification programs into the next evolution — very exciting!
As you know, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) is committed to providing you with the resources needed to deliver impactful and effective healthcare simulation experiences.
Hello, Colleagues!
Hope you are doing well. I appreciated all of you who attended the recent Town Hall meeting where we discussed how programs are currently planning for the next “pivot” during this next phase of the pandemic. As usual, there were many great conversations!
Greetings!
Hopefully, this message finds everyone having a continued positive experience through IMSH Delivers. I want to begin there with a hearty congratulations to three deserving individuals upon their being named as this year’s “Of the Year” winners.
Unveiled March 9 ahead of the Bringing Sim to Life Lecture Series during IMSH Delivers, Mindi Anderson, PhD, ARNP, CPNP-PC, CHE, CHSE-A, ANEF, FAAN; Kristine Hara, RRT, CHSOS; and Adam Cheng, MD, FRCPC, FAAP, were named Educator, Operations Specialist, and Researcher of the Year, respectively.
Greetings SSH Community!
I hope this message finds you doing well. As April ushers in the full swing of spring, I invite all members of our simulation society to embrace the season of renewal and growth in both our personal and professional journeys.
Last week, I attended “Tech on Tap: AI in Healthcare” - a panel session hosted by the KC Tech Council in Kansas City. It was a great opportunity to hear from several Kansas City-area leaders in the healthcare space on how their organizations, including Oracle, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, and University of Kansas Health System, are approaching and implementing AI.
