In today's dynamic healthcare landscape, simulation-based training plays a vital role in equipping professionals with the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional patient care. However, ensuring the quality and effectiveness of your healthcare simulation program requires more than simply running realistic scenarios. 

This is where getting accreditated through the Society for Simulation in Healthcare comes in.

Last week, I attended “Tech on Tap: AI in Healthcare” - a panel session hosted by the KC Tech Council in Kansas City. It was a great opportunity to hear from several Kansas City-area leaders in the healthcare space on how their organizations, including Oracle, Children’s Mercy Kansas City, and University of Kansas Health System, are approaching and implementing AI.

If you don’t, these incredibly deserving individuals were recipients of a Beverlee Anderson Education Fund Scholarship for IMSH 2023 and IMSH 2024. 

Named after the founding Executive Director of SSH, these important need-based scholarships help defray the costs of attending IMSH for simulation professionals early in their career trajectory.

Did you know that 2024 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare?

So much incredible growth has happened within our community over the past 20 years. It is humbling to have witnessed this growth firsthand.

In just a few weeks, June 20 marks the summer solstice that will swing us all full into summer and all the festivities that come with fun in the sun.

And while lakes, beaches, vacations, and the lazy, hazy days of summer will fly by quickly, the SSH office has already begun its deep dive into planning for IMSH 2025 – the 25th anniversary meeting of IMSH!
