THE PULSE - The SSH Learning Center: Education on Your Schedule

The SSH Learning Center is where SSH’s on-demand education catalog lives. Here is what is in it and how to use it.

The library — accessible to all with an SSH Profile — consists of archived SimSeries webinars and Virtual Learning Labs produced by SSH Corporate Roundtable member organizations.

The SimSeries archive is more substantial than most members realize. Years of weekly practitioner-led sessions have accumulated into a searchable catalog covering simulation design, debriefing methodology, faculty development, program management, simulation operations, research methodology, and more. If you have a specific challenge in your program right now, the odds are good that someone has presented a SimSeries session on it. Archived Sim Series content is eligible for you to claim IPCE hours for a fee, discounted rates applied to paid SSH members.

Virtual Learning Labs are presented by SSH’s Corporate Roundtable members — companies that build and supply the tools the field runs on. These sessions are educational in format and give you direct access to product knowledge, demonstrations, and applied use cases in a structured learning environment. The Virtual Learning Labs are not eligible for IPCE hours.

When you are ready to go deeper, the Learning Center is also where SSH’s paid programs are listed and linked. CHSE and CHSOS courses, SSH Accreditation content, and Best Practices Workshop registration are all accessible from the same catalog. Enrollment in those programs involves fees and registration, but the catalog is where you go to see what is available, review what each program covers, and decide what fits your timeline and development goals.

A practical suggestion: log in and search by topic rather than browsing. The catalog responds well to specific terms — debrief, standardized patient, faculty development, program assessment — and the results will surface content you did not know was there.
