One of the things I’ve always admired about this community is how quickly it rallies when there’s an opportunity to strengthen simulation for the future. We saw that spirit in action during Healthcare Simulation Week 2025 with the SSH Development Committee’s Day of Giving campaign.

First, thank you. Many of you took time during an already busy week to make a gift to the SSH Fund and help raise nearly $12,000! Some gave for the first time, while others continued their long-time support. And, in addition to the individuals who gave, I do want to highlight our company support, specifically: Intelligent Video Solutions; American 3B Scientific. Thank you!
Together, those contributions show that the growth of simulation isn’t just about technology or expanded training. It’s about people who care enough to invest in a safer, stronger future for healthcare.
So, what happens when you give?
Your support goes directly into SSH Fund-supported programs that matter: scholarships, research, global outreach, and resources that help simulationists everywhere grow and succeed. The SSH Fund powers opportunities that might not otherwise exist. In short, your donation is more than a gift. It’s an investment in colleagues, learners, and patients who all benefit from the ripple effect of simulation.
Why is this important right now?
Simulation is moving forward at an incredible pace. New methods, new settings, and new demands for trained professionals mean the work can’t slow down. By contributing, you ensure SSH can respond with resources, education, and advocacy that keep simulation advancing.
And here’s something else to remember: donating isn’t just writing a check. It’s joining something bigger. It’s raising your hand to say you believe in what simulation stands for and want to see it thrive now and well into the future.
If you haven’t contributed yet, or if you’d like to build on the momentum from Healthcare Simulation Week, now’s the perfect time. Visit SSHFund.org to learn more and make your donation!
To everyone who participated in the Day of Giving: thank you again. Your generosity inspires us all and helps ensure SSH remains the home for innovation, connection, and progress in healthcare simulation.
With gratitude,
