HARRISON, Ohio — Becker's Hospital Review has named SSH President Aaron Calhoun, MD, and SSH Immediate Past President Jared Kutzin, DNP, to its 2026 list of 145 Patient Safety Experts to Know, recognizing both leaders for their contributions to advancing patient safety through healthcare simulation.
Calhoun is a tenured professor of pediatrics at the University of Louisville and attending physician at Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Kutzin is senior director of the Simulation Teaching and Research Center and professor of emergency medicine and medical education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City.
Both were recognized for their work advancing simulation-based education and patient safety through SSH, which represents more than 5,400 members across approximately 70 countries.
