One of the things I’ve always admired about this community is how quickly it rallies when there’s an opportunity to strengthen simulation for the future. We saw that spirit in action during Healthcare Simulation Week 2025 with the SSH Development Committee’s Day of Giving campaign.
Last week, to close Healthcare Simulation Week, SSH posted the Healthcare Simulationist Code of Ethics - a document I’ve seen countless times. On Friday, though, seeing that incredible piece hit me in a different, deeper way I wasn’t expecting.

HARRISON, OHIO – The DAISY Foundation™ and Society for Simulation in Healthcare today announced their mutual support and creation of the SSH DAISY Team Award in Simulation.
HARRISON, Ohio (July 25, 2025) — The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) has received a record-setting 92 accreditation applications in 2025, the highest one-year total in the program’s history.
That number includes 62 total applications in the July cycle alone, also a record.

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through the year, and submissions for IMSH 2026 have just closed! We’re thrilled to report a record number of submissions and are looking forward to another exceptional conference this January.
