Hello from the Certification team! We have a very important update for you!

The Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) Practice Analysis Surveys are launching on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2023!

Please keep an eye out for an email from me with a link to the surveys.

Each survey will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Your feedback as an Educator or Operations Specialist is essential to the core of our Certification Programs. The practice analysis is a systematic process used to identify and define the specific job duties and related knowledge, skills, and abilities required for a particular occupation or job role. This analysis helps to ensure that certification programs are relevant, valid, and reliable by providing a clear understanding of the tasks that are necessary to perform the job.

Each survey will ask you to provide your opinion on the importance of each task on the Examination blueprints. Your opinions are used, along with the opinions of other respondents, to help ensure that the certification program is measuring the knowledge and skills that are actually required for the job. By identifying the tasks that are most important for the job, the certification program can focus on assessing those specific skills.

You do not need to be certified to respond to the survey!

If you are actively working in the role of either an Educator or Operations Specialist, or directly supervising those who are, we encourage you to participate in the survey as your opinions are just as valuable as those who are certified.
