Armstrong named 15th President of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare
Bob Armstrong will serve a one-year term as President until next January.
Juli Maxworthy named President-Elect.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – JANUARY 27, 2020 – The Society for Simulation in Healthcare has announced that Robert K. Armstrong, Executive Director of the Sentara Center for Simulation and Immersive Learning at Eastern Virginia Medical School, has become the 15th President of the Society. His term began at the completion of the 20th annual International Meeting for Simulation in Healthcare, IMSH, which took place Jan. 18-22, in San Diego.
Armstrong will serve a one-year term and replaces KT Waxman, DNP, MBA, RN, CNL, CENP, CHSE, FSSH, FAAN, Associate Professor and Director, Executive Leadership Doctor of Nursing Practice Program at the University of San Francisco. Waxman will continue to serve on the board as Past-President.
Juli Maxworthy, DNP, MSN/MBA, RN, CNL, CPHQ, CPPS, CHSE, FSSH, was named President-Elect. Maxworthy is a tenure-earning Associate Professor at the University of San Francisco (USF) in San Francisco.
