First, let me just say how awesome it was to see so many of you at SimOps in Tampa — what a great event! The power of "in person" was palpable! As for SSH Certification, we have a lot happening:

2,500 CHSE

As of July 1, 2,500 of you (from 38 countries) have achieved the Certified Healthcare Simulation Education designation. WOW! What an amazing milestone and tribute to the dedication of all of you in the field of healthcare simulation who have taken the initiative to become a CHSE. Thank you! It took us nine years to reach this point. How long will it take us to get to 5,000?

Sign up now. It is a great time to become SSH certified!

CHSOS-A and CHSE-A applications open (Sept. 1 due date)

Both the CHSE-A and CHSOS-A applications are now open for submission for the Sept. 1 deadline. These certifications both require a structured portfolio with narrative responses, references, a simulation-specific CV, and submission of an exemplar you have created. These structured portfolios demonstrate your advanced skills, leadership, and impact in your role. Act now because it takes quite a few hours to compile if you think you qualify. To find out more about each certification, visit our website, or better yet, attend a webinar (which will be recorded and posted as well) for each:

CHSE-A Webinar — Aug. 9, 2021, 1 PM Mountain Time (U.S. and Canada)
CHSOS-A Webinar — Aug. 9, 2021, 2 PM Mountain Time (U.S. and Canada)

Spanish-language CHSE

The CHSE exam is now available in Spanish! We know that many of you have been waiting for this, and it is ready for you anytime. The process to apply and sign up is the same for everyone. Just select the Spanish-language option when you have been approved and are signing up for your date and time to take the exam.

Remote Proctoring

Just a reminder that testing is available worldwide from your home or work now! Many of you do not have a testing center close by, so this option makes the exams accessible to you. You can make sure your computer meets the requirements and how to be sure your setting is appropriate. Start here and scroll to the Remote Proctoring section for the information. We recommend you reset your computer and internet devices before the scheduled exam day/time as possible to ensure maximum speed and connectivity.

Testing at SimGHOSTS — Aug. 3, 9 AM Mountain Time (U.S. and Canada)

In case you still want to test in person, and are going to SimGHOSTS USA in Ft. Wayne, IN, we have testing on Aug. 3 available to you. You can just select this location after you have submitted your application and been approved.

So, you can see there are so many positive things! Of course, if you have any questions, please email us/contact us at your convenience at coordinator@simcertification.com. Looking forward to seeing you all at IMSH in Los Angeles in January!
