Is your Simulation Program doing outstanding work? Of course it is!

It’s time to get recognized for it! Achieving SSH Provisional or Full Accreditation lets healthcare simulation industry peers and leaders know that your Program is conducting simulation in accordance with standards of excellence recognized around the world.

SSH Accreditation is a peer-reviewed, customized evaluation of your Simulation Program’s processes and outcomes in assessment, research, teaching/education, systems integration and simulation fellowship programs. Over 250 Programs around the world have achieved the distinction of SSH Accreditation and it’s not too late for you to get your Program’s application in by the next deadline on July 15th.

If you’re just starting to think about applying, SSH has some great resources for you to take advantage of as you prepare your application. Registration is currently available for upcoming courses on the Core SSH Accreditation Standards as well as the Teaching/Education Accreditation Standards. And coming soon, courses on the Assessment and Systems Integration SSH Accreditation Standards. All of the courses are taught by experienced SSH Accreditation Program Reviewers who will share important information on the requirements for accreditation as well as details on the application process. Additionally, attendees of the courses will learn how to identify strengths and weaknesses of their programs as compared to the SSH Accreditation Standards. Click here for more information about the online Accreditation courses as well as links to register.

Other helpful resources all SSH Accreditation applicants are encouraged to take advantage of during the application preparation process are the SSH Accreditation Standard Companion Documents. The companion documents have been written by SSH Accreditation Program Reviewers in an effort to provide Programs with additional information regarding the intent of each standard, while also providing suggestions on the type of information and documentation that could be supplied by a Program to demonstrate compliance with the standard.

If you are a first-time applicant, we are asking all programs who are considering applying to complete our SSH Accreditation Application Readiness Survey found on our SSH Accreditation webpage. Once the survey is completed, it will be reviewed and you will received an update from SSH Accreditation staff that details the next steps for your program.

If you’re interested in applying, start by reviewing our standards and companion documents which can be found at the links below.
