We are proud to announce that SSH's Council for Accreditation of Healthcare Simulation Programs and its offerings continues to expand!

First, SSH Accreditation is proud to announce it is now accepting pilot applications from currently SSH Accredited Programs that would like to expand their Accreditation to additional sites within their Program. This is only available for programs that are already SSH Accredited and meet the requirements meet the criteria to apply as a single program with multiple sites.  

Your Program is considered to be eligible to apply as a multi-site if your Program has a single governance, single policies and procedures, and a common funding source. If you’re interested in this opportunity and would like to help us pilot this process, please contact the Director of Accreditation, Kristyn Gadlage (kgadlage@ssih.org).

Second, the Accreditation Department is looking for more volunteers to join its team as an SSH Accreditation Reviewer! Being an SSH Accreditation Program Reviewer allows you to see and learn from Simulation Programs around the world and network with peers in Healthcare Simulation. This unique opportunity does require a commitment of time from those who choose to become involved. All reviewers are required to actively participate in at least two reviews annually, as well as mandatory reviewer trainings. And, finally, for Programs interested in becoming SSH Accredited, we strongly encourage you to attend IMSH 2024. SSH Accreditation will offer several sessions that will help develop your organization's SSH Accreditation application. Many of these sessions will help you learn the components of the accreditation process, identify programmatic strengths and weaknesses, and help you to better understand where most programs struggle to achieve accreditation. Register for IMSH 2024 and be on the lookout for these courses!
