The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) announces today the addition of thirteen fully accredited Sim Centers, one provisional and two mid-cycle area accreditations to the roster of accredited centers.   Since launching the accreditation program in 2010, fifty-four centers have achieved accreditation.   This rigorous process is important to the healthcare simulation profession because it fosters institutional and program improvement.

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare hosted its 15th Annual International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH 2015) in New Orleans, Louisiana January 10-14, 2015. The theme Simulation Celebration was carried throughout the conference with New Orleans-themed events enjoyed by 2,300 attendees from fifty-six countries. SSH is the premier professional society for healthcare simulation experts; where educators, researchers, developers, and clinicians are able to collaborate and network with their peers around the world.

The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Kevin Helm, MBA as the organization’s new Associate Executive Director. Mr. Helm is a seasoned association executive having served as the Executive Director for the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and Senior Manager with the American Academy of Family Physicians. His experience also includes financial management, marketing, and business operations.
