The International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) Conference, 2016 will take place June 15-18 in Grapevine, Texas at the Gaylord Texan Resort.  Join INACSL for a focused look at the Art and Science of Simulation.  Keynote speaker Dr. Reid-Searl will highlight the Art of Simulation through a discussion about the transformation of the educator, while plenary speaker Dr. Dror will focus on the Science of Simulation with a presentation on brain friendly learning.  End the conference with a look toward the future from the recipient of INACSL’s Hayden Vanguard Lectureship, Amy Cowperthwait.  Ms. Cowperthwait will share her journey as a simulation educator and challenge us as we explore the possibilities for the future of simulation. In between these highlighted speaker visit the exhibit hall and attend a multitude of concurrent sessions throughout the three day event.  Visit the INACSL Conference, 2016 website for information on sessions, speakers and activities during the conference.  Early bird registration ($550 for member/$750 for non-member) closes on April 22.

Join ASPE: The Global Network for Human Simulation Education for our 15th annual international conference in Tampa, from June 25 -29, 2016.  The theme, “Navigating through your Career,” reflects the richness of human simulation education around the world.  Informative, cutting-edge, concurrent sessions are arranged in diverse formats along with a variety of themes

The all-day immersion workshops on Saturday, June 25 include topics related to the basics of scholarship, foundations of SP methodology and managing a simulation center that includes SPs. On Sunday, June 26, we have eight preconference workshops that include hybrid simulation, writing cases and developing quality assurance strategies, understanding validity in SP-based assessment, GTA/MUTA practice, CHSE exam preparation, SP program administration and the latest techniques in moulage.

We are delighted to introduce our three plenary speakers, including Dr. Karen Szauter, this year’s Howard Barrows invited speaker, who will present “Navigating the Sea of Simulated Patient Research.” Dr. Elaine Meyer will speak about “On Being Present, Not Perfect: Insights and Implications for Simulation Educators” and Dr. Eduardo Salas will talk about “The Science of Simulation Based Training: Seven Observations.”

Get full details on the ASPE website where you can register for the conference and secure your hotel room.  Remember that the deadline for the best early bird registration rate is May 5

For those who can’t join us at our Tampa conference, please mark your calendar for the ASPE Asia-Pacific Conference in Singapore at the University of Singapore, November 18 – 20, 2016!
