Staff Spotlight: Sara Kagarise

Sara Kagarise, BS, RT(R) (CT), is the educational program coordinator for SSH. She brings a background in radiology, simulation education, scenario and evaluation development, simulation activity facilitation, development of simulation-based activities and manikin operation to SSH.  She has also been involved in research projects examining the effects of simulation-based training on learner confidence level.  

Currently, Sara works with the director of continuing education to implement and oversee educational courses and virtual learning programs. Sara also works with the Education Task Force groups and is the SSH staff liaison to the Online Resource Task Force, assisting with the development and enhancement of the Live Learning Center.  Sara also plays an active role in multiple Educational Activity Planning Committees, including those for IMSH and SimOps.   

Additionally, Sara is a staff liaison to the CHSE and CHSOS Exam Review Committees.  Her duties include committee meeting oversight, assisting with workshop revision processes and scheduling CHSE and CHSOS Readiness Review programs. Sara resides in Roanoke, VA with her husband, three dogs and cat.
