As we near the midpoint of 2023, I continue to be encouraged and energized

by the amazing work being done at the SSH Board level, through so many of our volunteer SSH Committees and Groups, and by our SSH Staff.

I will forever champion and be in awe of our organization’s routine ability to envision, collaborate, and produce at the constant high level it does. SSH sets a high standard that others aspire to, and it makes everyone in our sphere better.   

Speaking of those efforts, some noteworthy updates and reminders as you continue to elevate your professional journey in healthcare simulation with SSH.

SSH SimOps 2023: Raise YOUR Bar!

Mark your calendars for SimOps 2023, July 19-21, in Providence, RI, the ultimate gathering for simulation operations specialists (SOS)! Thought leaders from all over will come together to explore the latest advancements in operational technology, exchange best practices, and immerse attendees in experiential learning techniques. This year, our theme is "Raise YOUR Bar”, emphasizing the endless possibilities and inherent leadership potential within simulation operations.

As an SOS, you play a vital role in making simulation happen, and SimOps 2023 aims to enhance your growth and elevate your contributions to the field. Another huge event on SSH’s horizon is participating in Healthcare Simulation Week, Sept. 18-22.

This worldwide celebration showcases the power of simulation in healthcare and raises awareness about the global community of healthcare simulation practice. Throughout the week, simulation centers across the globe will actively participate by being champions of their success stories — demonstrating the unique utility of simulation in enhancing healthcare quality. How awesome is that!
