Here in the upper Midwest, trees are showing colorful dresses, which means September, which means …  IMSH 2024 registration is OPEN!

That also means the SSH office is swinging into full annual meeting mode.

Along with early bird registration, housing opened last week and nearly 100 members are already registered and planning to attend IMSH. Why? Well, in my mind, there’s no better way to escape winter than several days of connecting and developing professionally with colleagues and new acquaintances in the favorite sunny Southern California city of San Diego!  

It isn’t just members getting in early. Exhibitors and sponsors also are showing in force already – setting the stage for another potential record-breaking, buzzing, IMSH Exhibition Hall. On that note, this week I am focusing on the huge contribution of those industry partners.

With their support, IMSH is able to keep costs of attending affordable. Because they play such an important role in the entire experience, Olivia and I invite and encourage you to spend time in the hall. Visit as many booths are you are able. Show your appreciation and thank companies for their support. It means a lot to them and us.

As for your upcoming experience, we approach the hall with the thought that the old days of “only exhibits” in the exhibit hall are gone. Or should be gone.

Not only is the event expo hall the place to fully experience everything new and exciting in equipment and education in the simulation world, but exhibitors also provide valuable face-to-face experience with technology and cutting-edge products, interesting perspective, and insight on the rapidly changing science of healthcare simulation.

In other words, the hall is THE place you want to be whenever you are not in courses!

Of course, there still will be world-class exhibits from healthcare simulation industry leaders and much more, but we will be introducing areas specific to what’s new and/or have a start-up feel. (This is so new, in fact, that we are still working on the names of the areas and will have more info in future articles!) Additionally, we will again have the IMSH favorites: Poster Presentations, Technology Innovators, SimVentors, the IMSH Press Box, and more.

And, of course, the floor will offer full, complimentary lunches on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. All this activity makes the IMSH Expo Hall where you will want to be, and we cannot wait to welcome you to sunny San Diego, January 20-24, 2024, for IMSH 2024 - the place to Innovate. Disseminate. Educate. Advocate!
