NO ONSITE TESTING AT IMSH 2024

Next, please note there will be no on-site testing at IMSH 2024.

There are still other ways for those who want to take either the CHSE or CHSOS while in San Diego for IMSH. The first option would be to take the exam in your hotel room using live remote proctoring. If you choose this option, we highly recommend upgrading to the high-speed internet in your hotel the day before the exam and run the systems checks recommended by the testing vendor. For this option to work, you must be testing on a personal laptop as work/corporate devices may have blockers in place that will not allow the live remote proctoring to work. All other live remote proctoring precautions remain in place and you may be asked to close the blinds and cover the television with a sheet. There is also the option to test at a testing center in San Diego. Sites have seats reserved for SSH candidates on January 20-24, 2024. If you want to test at a site, you will have to choose San Diego as your location when registering for your exam.

As a reminder, testing will be shut down from December 1, 2023, until January 20, 2024, as we transition to the 2024 content.

If your application was recently approved and you need your testing window extended or would like additional time to study the new blueprint, please email director@simcertification.com to extend your window. If you have been studying the 2018 blueprint and this news of the transition to the 2024 blueprint is news to you, do not panic! The 2024 blueprint is published and available on the SSH Certification website. There are no major changes occurring to the exam. It is still 115 questions, all questions are in multiple-choice format, and the major domains of knowledge are the same. There is some new content being introduced as a result of the most recent practice analysis. Rest assured, this content will be introduced gradually over the next few years, and you will not see only new content on your exam.

Finally, the CHSE and CHSOS Advisory Teams of the Education Committee are working diligently on updating the Blueprint Review courses for the CHSE and CHSOS exams to match the 2024 examination blueprint. These new programs will launch prior to and at IMSH and will occur in January 2024. To register, or for more information, please visit https://www.ssih.org/Professional-Development/Online-Learning/Certification-Blueprint-Review-Courses.

I believe that’s everything for now. Until next time, be excellent to each other!
