Are you ready for Healthcare Simulation Week? It begins Monday!
This week has grown so much over the past several years and really turned into an amazing, global celebration of YOU – everyone who pours their hearts, minds, talents, and time into making simulation such an incredible piece of the healthcare puzzle.
I’ve always enjoyed the grassroots foundation to Healthcare Simulation Week. I think it provides a great level of flexibility in allowing everyone, no matter where they are, to celebrate in ways meaningful to their respective programs and communities. Our goal is the same, but how we celebrate certainly can be different depending on where we are!
In terms of SSH involvement, the Society is planning to host a daily session via Zoom that also will be broadcast on social media. I’ll help kick things off on Monday with a session titled “Reuniting With a Purpose.” I hope you can join me and all of our fantastic speakers during the week. The full schedule of events and “Join Links” all can be found here.
I know SSH is also planning to highlight as many different celebrations as possible throughout the week, so please use the #hcsimweek21 tag on your posts as you celebrate. That’s how SSH Staff will find your info and share it on our official channels!
I’ve also been very enthused to see such wonderful participation with more than 450 pins on the Map and several cool entries in the video contest. You all are so creative and bring so much fun to what we do!
As the week goes on, I’m hopeful you find time to participate in some or all of our events in addition to yours! Remember, the true goal of the week (besides celebrating you!) is to spread the word about healthcare simulation. Every post, every conversation, and every communication helps achieve that goal!
IMSH 2022 & IMSH Delivers 2022
With it being September now, it’s time for IMSH registration to open! Check out imsh2022.org beginning Tuesday, Sept. 14, and get registered for the absolute best healthcare simulation conference and event in the world!
Early bird rates will be in effect for the next several weeks, so make sure to take advantage of the discounted rate. And, of course, being an SSH member gets you a reduced rate also!
Per usual, session information and other specifics will be available a little bit later this fall. I encourage you to regularly check the website and watch for SSH communications as those details are released.
In any case, before you know it IMSH and IMSH Delivers will be here.
Wherever you are and however you celebrate, please have a wonderful Healthcare Simulation Week, and we’ll talk again soon.
Until next month …
