Stephen Charles, MS, MABMH, PhD, CHSE
Stephen Charles (PhD) is the Director of Medical Education at the University of Kansas School of Medicine – Wichita. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Standardized Patient Educators (ASPE) and Chair of the Interprofessional Education Affinity Group (IPE AG) for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH). His research interests include medical student mentoring, standardized patients, adult education, assessment of health professions students, faculty development, and curriculum design and implementation. He earned a doctorate degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Higher Education Administration from the University of South Florida. He earned two masters degrees: Masters of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Humanities (MABMH) and Masters of Science in Adult Education. He is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE).
