Welcome to the 22nd International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH 2022)! The Planning Team for IMSH 2022 is pleased to announce the opening of the IMSH 2022 Call for Content.
Mark your calendars now to be with us in Los Angeles, California, January 15 – 19, 2022 to reunite, connect, and advance healthcare simulation and patient safety. Whether you join in person, or via our new hybrid virtual format, we can’t wait to see you for the 22nd International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare (IMSH 2022).
Our CALL FOR CONTENT is now open! You’ll be able to submit content for both live, in-person presentation in Los Angeles, and for IMSH Delivers, the popular virtual delivery option which allows you to present online if you are unable to join us in LA.
The use of these three words as our theme allows us many opportunities for developing key content streams and topics for IMSH 2022. The following content areas have been suggested by the IMSH 2022 Planning Team as areas for emphasis:
- Advancing diversity, equity and inclusion
- Connecting healthcare simulation and patient safety
- Continuation of the SimOps theme “Unify” to bring the community back together following the Covid-19 pandemic
- Strengthened menu of offerings for Operations Specialists
- Enhanced mentorship content and opportunities
- More interactions/connections/networking
- Content for those just getting started in simulation
The opportunities to integrate innovative applications of this theme throughout the meeting are many! The Planning Team is looking for your help to achieve a spirit of reunion, reconnection and unity as we continue to work together to advance simulation practice.
Call for Content Reviewers - NOW OPEN!
We anticipate needing over 400 content reviewers to effectively assess and select the content for IMSH 2022! Consider becoming an SSH reviewer for our course proposals, research abstracts, technical proceedings and SimVentor entries. The Reviewer application form is included with this year’s Call for Content. In order to be considered, you must be a current SSH Member, and have an updated disclosure form, bio statement and CV uploaded into your SSH member profile.

Accreditation Statement
In support of improving patient care, the Society for Simulation in Healthcare is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive a maximum of 30.0 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
Interprofessional Continuing Education (ICPE) Mission Statement
The Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) will deliver professional development opportunities for interprofessional healthcare teams working to improve the practice of healthcare through simulation-based education. This mission will be accomplished through the provision of interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) activities designed to improve both individual and team performance in simulation.
